NECO Extends Neco Registration For The 2024/2025 Academic Year
NECO has announced an extension of the registration period for the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The Acting Registrar of NECO, Godswill Obioma, made this announcement in a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja.
Obioma stated that applicants interested in taking the examination could still register as 'walk-in' (late registration) candidates.
The Registrar highlighted that the extension was necessary because some candidates were unable to register before the initial deadline of May 4th, 2024.
He advised all candidates who missed the registration deadline to take advantage of this opportunity provided by the management.
Obioma emphasized that candidates registering after the closing date must adhere to the registration guidelines. He cautioned that such candidates must complete the registration within twenty-four hours before the scheduled examination for the subject(s) they intend to sit for.
Furthermore, Obioma encouraged those wishing to register as walk-in candidates to contact the nearest NECO State Office for comprehensive details on the registration process.
It's worth noting that NECO had previously rescheduled its examination date in late March 2024 due to the pandemic. These adjustments were made to ensure that no candidate missed the examination and to ensure the successful conduct of NECO examinations.
NECO Extends NECO Registration for the 2024/2025
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced an extension of the registration period for the 2024/2025 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE). This move comes as a relief to many candidates who were unable to complete their registration before the initial deadline.
In a statement released by the Acting Registrar of NECO, Godswill Obioma, candidates were informed that they could still register as 'walk-in' (late registration) candidates. This decision was made to accommodate those who faced challenges in meeting the earlier registration deadline of May 4th, 2024.
The extension of the registration period underscores NECO's commitment to ensuring that all eligible candidates have the opportunity to sit for the examination. Obioma emphasized the importance of this extension, particularly for candidates who encountered difficulties during the initial registration process.
Candidates who missed the registration deadline are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity provided by NECO. However, it's essential for late registrants to adhere strictly to the registration guidelines outlined by the council. Additionally, they must complete their registration within twenty-four hours before the scheduled examination for the subject(s) they intend to sit for.
For those interested in registering as walk-in candidates, Obioma advised them to contact the nearest NECO State Office for comprehensive details on the registration procedure. This ensures that candidates are well-informed and prepared to complete their registration successfully.
It's important to note that NECO's decision to extend the registration period follows previous adjustments made to the examination schedule in response to the ongoing pandemic. These adjustments aim to minimize disruptions to the academic calendar and ensure the smooth conduct of NECO examinations.
As NECO extends the registration period for the 2024/2025 academic year, candidates are urged to take advantage of this opportunity and complete their registration promptly. Stay updated with NECO announcements for further details and instructions regarding the examination process.
